Sievo was founded in 2003 by Sammeli Sammalkorpi and Matti Sillanpää, two young supply chain consultants who saw an opportunity to advance procurement performance through better decision-making support software.

Entirely self-financed, Sievo is today the twelve fastest-growing technology company in Finland and the 70th fastest-growing software companies in the EMEA, according to Deloitte's latest rankings.

The company is operated by a diverse multinational team based in Finland, France and Germany.

Fabrice Saporito

Chief Executive Officer

Fabrice became CEO of Sievo on May 1st 2010. In this role, he has the overall responsibility for growing the company beyond its Nordic core and enhancing the Sievo software suite. As CEO, Fabrice aims at making Sievo a leading player in the Procurement Performance Management space.

Prior to Sievo, Fabrice spent over 10 years as a consultant at Booz & Company and The Boston Consulting Group. He worked with companies in Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia. Before that, Fabrice gained a passion for technology while at IBM and a grounding in finance from Rockwell Semiconductor Systems.

Fabrice holds a Master's degree in management from the French Grande Ecole, CERAM ESC Nice, and is a Harvard Business School graduate.

Matti Sillanpää

Vice President Product Management, Co-Founder

Matti, a Sievo co-founder, heads the firm Product Management function. He works to advance the product and ensure that it remains technologically competitive. His role is to turn customer requirements for functionality into robust technology solutions.

Prior to Sievo, Matti was a consultant with Synocus, focusing on procurement and IT for multinational clients largely headquartered in Finland. Matti also worked for telecom giant Nokia.

Matti holds a Master of Science from Helsinki University of Technology where he majored in industrial management and technology.

Johan Peter Teppala

Director Project Delivery and Customer Support

Johan Peter joined Sievo in 2006 to design and run Sievo's Delivery and Customer Support functions. He works with clients to implement the Sievo solution to its clients and provides technical support. Johan Peter is instrumental in Sievo's track record for maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.

Prior to Sievo, Johan Peter was consultant with Synocus focusing on procurement and IT for multinational clients largely headquartered in Finland.

He holds a Master of Science degree from Helsinki University of Technology, where he majored in industrial management and technology.

Sammeli Sammalkorpi

Vice President Business Development, Co-Founder

Sammeli, Sievo's co-founder, leads the firm's Business Development function. In his role, Sammeli is in charge of ensuring that Sievo's offering meets the needs of clients and partners. Sammeli is central to the defining the strategic roadmap of the firm and its execution.

Prior to Sievo, Sammeli was a consultant with Synocus. He focused on procurement and IT for multinational clients largely headquartered in Finland. Sammeli also ran his own small custom software development company.

Sammeli holds a Master of Science from Helsinki University of Technology, where he majored in industrial management and technology.

Christian Backström

Head of Finance and Controlling

Christian joined Sievo in January 2011 as head of Finance and Controlling.

Prior to Sievo, Christian served as head of finance and controlling for Booz & Company in Finland, a position he held for more than ten years.
